Establishment
“Neve Horim – United Retirement Home”, the first Golden-Age Home in Israel, was established in 1878 at the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem. In 1966, it moved to its current location in the Katamon neighborhood, at the heart of San Simone Park.
Management & Supervision
The place is managed as a non-profit organization and is registered as a public endowment. It is headed by a board of trustees, which is composed of renowned well-known Jerusalem public figures, and supervised by the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services & the Ministry of Health.
Manpower
The Neve Horim staff is comprised of about 170 skilled and devoted professionals: physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists, occupational therapists, nutritionists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, culture coordinators, social and occupational coordinators, kitchen staff, cleaning and maintenance staff as well as management. All year round, the staff is accompanied by National Service girls and dozens and volunteers, dedicated to delivering the best service to our residents.
The place holds 200 beds.
